ANATOMY CASE DISCUSSION [Table 14]

Trisha Bosyo, 43 y/o female, consulted because of an anterior neck mass. 7 years PTC, she noted a 1 x 1 x 1 cm mass over the anterior neck which progressively enlarged to its present size. There were no other accompanying symptoms except for hoarseness which prompted this consult. PE reveals a normotensive patient with PR = 99/min, RR = 25/min and was likewise afebrile. Pertinent findings centers on the neck which reveals a 9 X 4 X 3 cm doughy mass located anteriorly which moves with deglutition. There were no other significant findings of noted. Work-up done and Cardio-Pulmonary clearance was granted prior to thyroidectomy. Upon extubation, patient developed stridor accompanied by enlargement of the neck.
